Excursion Puno – Pukara – Lampa full day

We initiated this trip preferably in the morning, left the hotel in a mobility paved road to Juliaca, from here, continue north on a road that leads to Pukara ( 45 min . Trip ) 61 Kms. From Juliaca asphalted road between Puno and Cusco, here visit the ruins of Kalasaya, located 1 km. from the town of Pucara. This has two sectors : a ceremonial area with nine pyramids and an urban area. We will see remains of underground buildings, the complex dates back to 200 BC. C. and has an area of 500 hectares. Also visit the museum where we will pukara Monoliths and beautiful ceramics.

The inhabitants of the so-called Pukara culture reached remarkable astronomical, hydraulic and architectural knowledge, passengers can confirm that Pucara is a village of artisans and potters. Appreciate the famous “Pucara bulls” in a visit to one of the workshops that open their doors to visitors to show all the art and labor of which they are heirs .

Continuing the tour we will go in the direction of Lampa, for a trail road while traveling altiplano observe beautiful landscapes, travel time is 45 min. approx. on arrival we drive to a local restaurant where you can taste typical dishes of the area. Lampa is also known as the Pink City of the 7 wonders, among the tourist attractions that we visit is the bridge of Lampa, one of the most beautiful in the region, the St. James Church, The Replica of “La Piedad”, celebrate work Michelangelo, the breeding chinchillas fur, and queñuales forests, typical of the Peruvian highlands. Later , we returned to Juliaca to take the road to Puno.
